What is SimWizard AI?

A Simio add-in that integrates 13+ AI models — including Claude, Gemini, GPT, DeepSeek, Grok, and more — directly into your Simio workflow. Simply describe what you want in natural language (English, Spanish, or any language) and the AI uses the Simio API to manipulate your model: creating objects, connecting them, changing properties, building data tables, setting up experiments, analyzing results, and more. We regularly integrate the latest model releases, with Premium subscribers getting priority access to new models.
Yes — either a trial or licensed working Simio installation that supports user extensions is required. The add-in works with both academic and commercial licenses.
Gemini Flash 3.7, StepFun 3.7 Flash, and MiniMax M3 with 100,000 one-time credits. No license key needed. Paid plans start at €5/month.
Yes — packages from 1M (€3) to 25M (€45). Purchased credits never expire and persist across billing cycles.
All communication is encrypted via HTTPS. Your simulation data is processed by the AI provider according to their terms but never stored by us. For full privacy, contact us about our Private package which enables you to connect SimWizard AI to your in-house AI system or preferred API endpoint.
SimWizard AI works with all major Simio versions including v16, v17, v18, and v19. It works best with the latest version (currently v19) since it has the most API methods available. If certain functions don’t work, we recommend updating to the latest version of Simio. We update our add-in regularly to support new releases.
What it can do: Create and place objects, connect them with links, change object properties, create and populate data tables, set up experiments, analyze simulation results, answer questions about your model, and detect objects drawn using the Simio drawing panel — all through natural language in any language (English, Spanish, etc.). Standard plan and above can also attach images, PDFs, and data files directly to AI queries for in-context analysis.

Current limitations: SimWizard AI cannot subclass objects, write add-on processes (Simio’s internal coding/process logic), or parse imported DWG/CAD files and their layers. These are areas we plan to improve in future updates.
User Rules let you give the AI persistent instructions, domain knowledge, and preferences that apply to every conversation. For example, you can teach the AI about your naming conventions or object connection patterns (like rack-aisle-rack layouts). Rules are written in plain text via the Rules button on the toolbar. Note that rules are included with every message, so they consume a small amount of additional credits per request. Available on Plus plan and above.
